Went to Cedar Point last year with my family. Truly the greatest vacation of my life. So much to do, while surrounded by beautiful Lake Erie. Employees were awesome, food was awesome, and rollercoasters were top tier. Amazing place, will return as many times as possible in the near future.

Cedar Point is one of the most well-known parks in the world. If you're a coaster enthusiast or are someone who is even remotely familiar with roller coasters. The name "Cedar Point" has come up at least once. And yeah, it's an amazing park for sure! Now, it's not a PERFECT park (hence the 4* review, sorry Cedar Point fanboys) but it's still a great one! So let's talk about the good. First, the roller coasters! This park has so many of them. Some of the most out of any park in the world. Now, unlike a vast majority of parks. This place actually has separate review pages for each of their coasters. I've made reviews for most of them (seriously, I like yelp, but I wish they had review pages for rides). So if you want to see my reviews, I've got most of them up (working on doing more; I have a life outside of yelp so I haven't gotten around to all of them yet. I also gotta update a good chunk of my previous reviews). But yeah, if you're a coaster fan. You'll be in heaven. The park also has a few good flat rides such as Max Air, which is a Huss Frisbee. A S&S Combo Tower called Power Tower. Skyhawk, an S&S Screamin Swing. A WindSeeker. A Derby Racer (which is basically a super fast carousel). Antique cars. In terms of water rides (which I didn't get to ride because they were all closed), they only have a rapids ride now that Snake River Falls (arrow shoot the chute) is gone (this was still standing when I was there, but again, not open so I didn't ride it). And there's also Cedar Point Shores, their water park. This was also not open when I went. But it looked solid. Also, might I add, the park looks AMAZING! Like holy crap, it's built right over Lake Eerie. So on the super tall rides, you get AMAZING views of the park and the ocean. You can even see Canada on Magnum and Millennium Force. So what holds this park back for me? Well, their maintenance. While this ride does have phenomenal operations as they consistently run 3 trains on everything and do a great job at getting the lines moving. Maintenance is something the park is VERY poor at. Rides at Cedar Point go down CONSTANTLY. If you go on a day and find half of the rides closed, don't worry, that's normal! While they do a good job at keeping the B&Ms up. When it comes to their star coasters, they WON'T stay open. Steel Vengeance broke down a total of 15 times in 4 days, Maverick didn't even open on 1 of my days, Millennium Force was closed 2 of the 4 days I was there, Magnum and Gemini were off and on all day, and I didn't even get to ride WindSeeker or the Derby because it was closed all 4 days I was there. Now, I get it, sh*t happens. Rides are gonna break down. But when it's happening THIS much, there's a problem. And I'm not the only one who's had those issue. So I hope Cedar Point can get this issue resolved because it makes the experience worse. But other than that, CEDAR POINT IS GREAT! The coaster collection is awesome, they have a lot of other unique rides, the park looks amazing, and there's so much to do. I Strongly recommend coming to this park, but I also HIGHLY recommend spending more than 1 day here (3-4 is my recommendation). That way, you can ensure that you can ride everything you want. Because you never know when Maverick or Steel Vengeance crap the bed and stay down all day. But yeah, even with that. This is still my favorite Six Flags Park (still can't believe that merger happened) and is one of the better parks I've been to!

The rides are amazing so smooth and fast. I will say out of the 142 roller coasters I've rode some are my favorite are from here. The only downside is the long lines but the experience makes up for it. My personal favorite from here and my number coaster is Steel Vengance.

I love this roller coaster capital of the world. Per usual, the rides were great and the food was expensive. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. The employees were kind.

Absolutely one of the really great parks in the country. Especially if you love roller coasters! Being from eastern central Indiana I grew up being a kings island devotee and that remains But cedar point Definately has them bear when it comes to roller coasters. This might be the best park in the country for such enthusiasts Now as usual for places like this there are the same complaints. Being held hostage by high prices when you get in the park and I'm not a big fan of the "fast lane" lines. It makes it almost pointless on a busy day because of the time spent in lines. Not exactly "unjust" but should give one pause However the staff was so nice and helpful and we had just a fantastic time! Plenty of attractions here and worth going!

Went for the first time after school started and there were only long lines for about 3 coasters. Stayed at breakers which was also awesome! The boardwalk is right there and it's a short walk to the park and water park as well. The downfall is most all of the entertainment was gone so, nothing going on at night but the upside was i think we went on every single ride!!!! Ate food, relaxed in the water at the beach. Went to the water park(which was half closed bcuz of staffing) but even with a few closures there is literally so much to do it filled our two days!!! Maverick was by far my favorite coaster!! It had the longest line but was worth every minute of waiting!!

So I've written reviews for every ride but not for the actual park?? Oops. Cedar point is the oldest standing amusement park in the country with world record rollercoasters. Shows, dancing, music, peanuts characters, petting zoos, candle making, face paintings, caricature drawings and more, this amusement park has it all. It will forever be timeless and yet classic.

We usually go every 2 years here. If you tend to go in mid May, as the crowds are not too bad, but the water rides are still closed like Thunder Canyon and the boat ride is closed. I ended up going to park for 3.5 days. A half day on Saturday, full days from Sunday to Tuesday on May 18 to 21. If you are a gold pass member with all of the parks or staying in the hotel or have membership above you can get into the park an hour early. You can ride Millennium Force, Gatekeeper, Wild Mouse and I forgot the other rides. But this will keep you entertained for an hour. I wish they would open the gates after the national anthem as that is the sign when the park is officially opened like others (Knott's and Kings Island) We were looking forward to riding Top Thrill 2, but the ride was closed indefinitely and was looking forward to riding this, but heard the line does move slow. I can not wait to go back and ride this ride and you have to buy a locker. What changed since last visit, they got a new mouse ride, Wild Mouse. I felt the ride was okay and fun for a family spinning ride and it is a ride I would go on again. They have the new restaurant out by the shore which is nice. The restaurant is nice as well as I tend to eat there every visit as I like sitting next to the ocean. However, when it is hot and not windy, it is unbearable to eat there. They do have an upstairs with a restroom. Crowd control was okay, we did have the typical teen cutters as they have 2 friends hold the line and all of a sudden 20 of them show up. I wish they did have more taps to cover the entire line and not partial lines. I do enjoy going to the farm house near Maverick as I like getting the steak. One thing to know is that Maverick and Steel Vengeance does break down quite a bit and usually down time is around 30 minutes to an hour. The other thing too is if you have fast lane it is quite a pretty penny $120 and even with that you will be waiting 30 minutes per the ride and does not guarantee you get on right away. I noticed it dies down an hour before the park closes. I think I went into depth of the rides and my ranking did not change. Anyways a great place to visit with a lot of fun.
